Mary’s brother, Larry, passed away while incarcerated with paranoid schizophrenia and heart and respiratory conditions. Mary has become an advocate for the mentally ill in prison and uses her twitter account to post information on the topic and many other prison-related topics. The more information you read from her, the more horrifying you realize her brother’s case is and the more you realize that the mentally ill incarcerated in America’s prisons need advocates like Mary to avoid history repeating itself.
